In Per\u00fa, Fe y Alegr\u00eda began its activities in 1966 with the creation of five public schools in the poor areas that surrounded the perimeter of Lima: San Mart\u00edn de Porres (Fe y Alegr\u00eda 1 and 2), San Juan de Miraflores (Fe y Alegr\u00eda 3) and San Juan de Lurigancho (Fe y Alegr\u00eda 4 and 5).
Since then, every year Fe y Alegr\u00eda has grown thanks to the effort, work and support of thousands of Peruvians, who, through different means, have made it possible to educate thousands of boys, girls, adolescents and adults from scarce resources<\/p>\n

In Fe y Alegr\u00eda the sense of identity and belonging to the popular education movement is strengthened through the deepening sense of the mission and ideology of the Fe y Alegr\u00eda Federation. In response to the needs of the country, the first schools were created in other regions:<\/p>\n

In this decade, we reinforced the educational quality from the training and accompaniment of directors and teachers. A path of permanent personal and professional development began for a better educational service.<\/p>\n

Training in and for work was prioritized from the creation and implementation of workshops. Fe y Alegr\u00eda was gradually taking shape to respond effectively to the specific needs of the communities by developing alternative curricular proposals to traditional ones.<\/p>\n

Fe y Alegr\u00eda takes on the challenge of being present beyond the peripheral urban areas and undertakes a policy of diversification of educational projects. Schools are founded in the Peruvian jungle and rural educational networks are created in the Andean and Amazon areas.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Faced with the poorly attended demand for students with different educational needs, Fe y Alegr\u00eda assumes Special Basic Education with the Fe y Alegr\u00eda 42 Special Basic Education Center in the city of Chimbote (Ancash).<\/p>\n

Within the framework of an inclusion policy, Fe y Alegr\u00eda encourages the attention of young people and adults who could not complete their basic education studies through the Fe y Alegr\u00eda Radio Institute (IRFA), interacting through radio classes supported with self-contained material printed instructions, as well as face-to-face and remote meetings.<\/p>\n

Fe y Alegr\u00eda joins Higher Education by creating the first Higher Technological Institutes, which train technical professionals in careers according to the labor demand, the productive world and the regional development where they are located as well as the country as a whole.<\/p>\n

In accordance with the new pedagogical currents, Fe y Alegr\u00eda elaborates its pedagogical proposal aimed at transforming teaching practices and achieving learning for life. A stage of reflection is inaugurated in educational institutions around the proposal for training in essential values \u200b\u200band learning within the framework of comprehensive citizen training.<\/p>\n

An important emphasis is placed on management with pedagogical leadership of educational institutions, training and specializing managers.
Communication and exchange of experiences between managers in educational networks by regions is encouraged.<\/p>\n

Fe y Alegr\u00eda strengthens the relationship with the Ministry of Education, Regional Directorates of Education and local Educational Management Units to contribute their experience and the innovations of their educational institutions.
Fe y Alegr\u00eda consolidates its image as a quality public education.<\/p>\n

Throughout these 54 years, Fe y Alegr\u00eda del Peru has grown and strengthened, expanding its scope of action in 21 regions of the country; in the three modalities of the educational system (Regular Basic, both urban and rural; Special Basic and Alternative Basic) and at the different levels (basic and higher).
Thanks to the joint work of teachers, fathers and mothers, 48 \u200b\u200breligious congregations and the Peruvian State, Fe y Alegr\u00eda del Peru continues to work with the same enthusiasm and enthusiasm to fulfill the mission started by Fr. Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda V\u00e9laz: \u201cTo form citizens fair, supportive and committed to the transformation of their society \u201d.<\/p>\n
